Join Flora Lam Kim, a recent PhD graduate at Deakin University, Warrnambool (VIC), and a member of the dynamic DeakinSeaweed research group. Flora is investigating the chemical defence of seaweeds towards environmental stresses, with a focus on brown macroalgae antioxidants, molecules that provide multiple health benefits that could be used in pharmaceuticals (substances used in disease treatment and prevention), cosmeceuticals (skincare products) & nutraceuticals (food products with the potential to treat or prevent disease).

In particular, Zoë works with saltwater Indigenous peoples in south-west Victoria on revitalisation of cultural seaweed knowledge and their rights and roles within seaweed management and industry.
